Description
Designed at the turn of the last century by noted architect Ernest Mayo and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, The Woman’s Club of Evanston is the “grand dame” of the city. The Club has a rich history in Evanston dating back to the late 1800’s. Our stately Clubhouse, built in 1912, has hosted hundreds of noteworthy events with style and gracious hospitality. Recently completing a five year restoration project, the Clubhouse exudes warmth and timeless elegance. Its classic architecture includes a black and white marble entrance hall and double staircase leading to the dramatic Grand Ballroom, the perfect place for dinner and dancing. On the first floor, the intimate Tea Room with sparkling chandeliers flows into the Music Room and Sun Room providing the ideal setting for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and receptions. The Woman’s Club of Evanston, an unforgettable setting for the day you will always remember!
